Hypolimnion

Hypolimnion is a short first-person horror game about a solo submersible pilot descending Hornindalsvatnet — the deepest lake in Europe — to recover data from a research borehole that reaches deeper than the lakebed should allow.

How to play

• Change view: click the arrows on screen, or press Q / E to turn between stations.
• Interact: click buttons, switches, levers, and dials to operate the sub.
• Read your instruments — sonar, gauges, and the radio.
• Handle problems as they come: swap blown fuses, manage the engine, adjust ballast to keep descending.
• Follow the radio operator's instructions and keep the sub running.
• Takes 30ish minutes to finish.
